Are you wondering if you are eligible for medical marijuana treatment in Arizona? Getting a medical marijuana card in AZ is a remarkably simple and efficient process as long as you are considered an eligible patient.
Eligibility is based on whether you suffer from a condition that Arizona state laws mandate acceptable.
These conditions include but are not just limited to:
- AIDS (HIV) and AIDS Wasting Syndrome
- Hepatitis C
- Mood disorders
- Chron’s disease and other digestion related diseases
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Parkinson’s disease
- Degenerative neurological diseases such as dystonia and others
- Epilepsy and seizures
- Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Pain relief and management, migraines
- and more…
New qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in Arizona often get added if new legislation gets introduced or sometimes when new research advances require a new condition or illness to be added.
A common question new potential patients have is “How much does it cost to get a medical marijuana card in AZ?” The state of Arizona charges a standard fee of $150 for every applicant each year to get their medical marijuana card. A medical marijuana card renewal costs the same amount, and every patient must go through the process of getting their card renewed every year. Patients who receive any SNAP benefits from the state can get their medical marijuana card cost reduced by $75.
On top of these charges, each applicant usually pays a fee to the doctor to receive the proper recommendation for the Arizona medical marijuana program. We at Level Up have our own doctor working on-site at our facility, so we are able to offer our patients a specially discounted rate if they decide to get their medical marijuana cards with us. Our doctor charges patients $75 for the state required recommendations. So a patient will typically pay a total of $225 with us consisting of our doctor’s $75 recommendation fee plus the $150 standard state fee for their medical marijuana card. If a patient comes to the recommendation exam and does not supply medical records from this past year, we will charge an additional $25 fee so our doctor can conduct an exam to finish according to Arizona state guidelines.
We at Level Up also have another program that we run to help our patients to keep their medical marijuana card costs as low as possible. We make it possible for all of our patients to get them absolutely free!
Patients new to Level Up can get their medical marijuana cards with us and then get reimbursed through a series of products credits valid only with us. Patients pay for the card upfront at the time of the exam, but can then choose to receive credits totaling to the full $225 medical marijuana card cost by either receiving them back from us in the form of nine $25 credits or three $75 credits.
For our current, existing patients we offer two ways for you to cover the medical marijuana card cost from us at Level Up. We can either track your spending from April 20th, 2017 and provide you a voucher equal to 10% of what you have spent with us in products so far. This voucher will not exceed $225; Therefore, if you spend $2,250 or more you will receive a voucher to completely cover the costs of our on-site doctor (with the possible exception of that extra $25 fee if you didn’t bring current medical records). The other way our existing patients can get their card for free from us is identical to the way that our new patients can. To repeat it again, they can get their medical marijuana cards with us and then get reimbursed through a series of products credits valid only with us at Level Up. Patients pay for the cards upfront at the time of the exam, but then patients can choose to receive credits totaling to the full $225 medical marijuana card cost by either receiving them back from us in the form of nine $25 credits or three $75 credits.
